Bree Sharp

"All I know is my lonely soul and the remote control."

Having grown up in Philadelphia, PA under the supervision of Bob Dylan, Patti Smith and Elvis Costello, Bree Sharp armed herself with a acoustical guitar and sung three-minute folk-ditties at the local coffee shop scene. With lyrical content dealing with having a minor David Duchovny obsession among other things, Sharp settled into her new home of New York City around the time that her debut "A Cheap and Evil Girl" was released in 1999.

Ok, I admit it, I only purchased her album because of a great song about a certain actor but since I got it I haven't stopped playing it as I think it is an excellent album.

Currently Bree only has one album but she is working on a follow up to the wonderful "A Cheap And Evil Girl" - I can't wait!

I don't think that there is a bad song on the album. From the funky "Guttermouth" and "The Cheap and Evil Girl" to the more mellow tracks such as "Fallen" and "Fool's Gold" every track contains some wonderfully sarcastic and cynical lyrics.

"I'm writing three-minute pop songs, But I want to do something that makes you think -- that's not ladled into your mouth. That's what I like about the X-Files...you have to figure it out for yourself and it always leaves you wanting more." - Bree Sharp.
